It can be hard to keep a garage clean and organized, especially when it’s used for storing lawn mowers, garden tools, bicycles and all the other stuff that a suburban garage typically collects. But if you spend much time in the garage, you quickly find out how much easier it is to do things in a clean garage.
You can try using cheap rack setups from the local big-box hardware store, or you can maybe go with kitchen cabinets that you scavenged…or you can get one of our
garage organizer systems, with a place for everything and a way to keep everything in place! We stock wire shelving systems, wall-mounted shelves, racks for hanging things like rakes and shovels, or fully-modular cabinets that look great and last forever. The end result is a work space that is organized, neat, and easy to work in when it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get busy.
One of the longstanding problems that any home mechanic has encountered is the mess of oil changes. After changing your oil, you’ve got a drain pan full of filthy oil that can easily get kicked or spilled, then you’ve got a slippery mess to clean up – and that’s if you don’t spill any in the process of the oil change itself. Ever considered an
oil extractor? Using a hand pump for vacuum, an oil extractor pulls all of the crankcase’s oil out through the dipstick tube, with a safety float that shuts off to prevent overflow. Oil extractors can hold about 7 quarts of oil, and are also useful for radiators, transmissions, torque converters, lawn mowers, motorcycles, and about anything that needs fluid extracted. If you’re skeptical about how thoroughly an oil extractor can remove all oil, you might like to know that they are now standard for oil changes in Mercedes dealerships!
We also carry products like garage insulation (for a heated or cooled garage), flooring options, dollies and positioning jacks, parking aids and steam cleaners, all aimed at making the time you spend out in the garage a lot easier and more pleasant!
