I purchased this jack for use on a 2008 Chevy Avalanche and a 17.5ft boat trailer, if necessary. It got a few thousand miles on it sitting in the back of my truck chillin out before I had to use it. This thing broke the first time I used it! Bottle jacks and 2by4's must be the rule of thumb! Do not buy this thing as it isn't ready for market yet!

The InstaJack is a very effective scissors-style jack. It is very stable and quite solid. The speed is fairly slow, but that is a good thing when dealing with a 3,300lb vehicle. The activation button is covered by a rubber membrane to protect it from grease and the elements. The light is mounted on the motor body, which means it shines more on the side of the car than under it...and the motor lifts with the jack, so the situation does not improve. It would have been better to mount it on the jack body. The power cord is just long enough for my mid-size sedan, so those with SUVs or long vehicles may need an extension.The wrench, however, is an issue. Mine flat out didn't work. It makes noise and vibrates, but the end doesn't turn...and there is a loose small piece rattling around inside. I didn't get a chance to use this until months after order, so did not bother to try returning it. I did contact the manufacturer, but they were not interested in helping me, especially after I told them it was a few months since purchase. I was going to take it apart to fix it myself, but the fact that such a small piece would disable the device makes me feel it just isn't worth the effort.Bottom line: InstaWrench not good, InstaJack great! And, since it's cheaper than what I paid, it's still worth it for just the jack...if your wrench works think of it as a bonus.
