Description: With headlights costing $300 or more, even a gravel hit can be expensive. XPel's DOT-approved 30-mil material is flexible enough to adhere to curved headlights, but has been tested to withstand the impact of gravel traveling at 120 mph. The pressed, polished thermoplastic vinyl is optically clear so it won't change the look of your car or reduce lighting effectiveness. Custom-cut to fit your specific make and model, Special 3M adhesive backing goes on in minutes. UV inhibitors ensure that the covers will remain clear even in the harshest elements. Covers both headlights. Please specify your vehicle's year, make and model. For use with factory headlights and foglights only. 5-year warranty. Custom-made in USA.

I purchased these for my 2008 Mercedes G500 and installed them in 2008. In 2009, I was Driving at 70mph on the highway when an entire car bumper flew across the road and into the front of my vehicle. Incredibly, the only damage to my car was a small paint scratch, and my expensive right glass Xenon headlight was cracked, clean across. But the XPel had held the light together, and the light was still operational. When I went to the dealer to replace the light in November of 2009, I was quoted $1500 to install and replace the entire headlight assembly. I figured since the light was still operational and the front glass was completely held together by the Xpel protector, I would wait until it stopped working to replace it. It is March 2015 and the light is still working and intact because the Xpel has held the glass together. The Xpel covers are also completely clear and have not changed color or become foggy since I installed them on my headlights and in-bumper factory fog lights. I now have these on ALL of my cars, and recommend them to everyone. The end.
I first installed the protectors on a 2000 Mustang. When I got the protectors and looked at the headlights I thought no way but with a hair dryer and solution they went right on. I have since installed them on a 04 Mustang, 2000 Focus, 04 Freestar and 11 Escape. They really protect and are basically invisible.
Make sure you visit Expel's website or call Autosport's CS on making sure about the correct fog lights shape for the correct cover. I was told by my Mercedes Benz service guy that I had the "Sport" model which has oval shaped fog lights not the "Base" which has round fog lights. After three weeks, I finally got the correct Fog Light oval covers. When you are going to apply the covers, follow the instructions carefully esp cleaning the headlightfog light coverslens. Also about keeping you hands wet when handing the cover and peeling off the paper from the sticky side of the cover. I used a window film kit spray instead of the alcohol mixture since I already had the spray. A hair dryer works fine to heat the material to make it plyable to the shape of your headlight and fog lights. I also used a micro fiber cloth to clean up any left over solution. Finally I gave CS a 5 star because I always got to talk or received a email reply to all my questions concerning the correct fog light cover which they replaced at NC. Thanks to all the Guys and Girls who work at Autosport!
Product came really fast and when they promised. I had bought already 4 xpel kits so far (3) of my cars and (1) as a gift for one of my neighbor. They are great, protect the headlight from the sun and road debris.
I have used XPel Headlight Protection in the past,so install was easy for me. A heat gun will help a lot if you have curves on your headlights. Just make sure you keep your hands wet at all time when touching the XPel.
GREAT PRODUCT! Like the instructions say, if there are some "bubbles" left under the covers after you finish putting them on, the'll probably disappear after a week or two. Only time will tell if they keep the headlight "lenses" from clouding over because of UV over time but they SHOULD!
I live in Florida and headlights are known to get sunbleached and yellow with time. I have been using Xpel protection since 1999 and no headlights ever got sunbleached. They also do protect the headlight as they stated. A car infront of me kicked up a large tire lug nut and hit my headlight directly while going about 60 mph. As I saw the lug nut fly through the air and felt the impact through the steering wheel, I thought the light was for sure broken. Once I stopped and examined the possible damage, I noticed the protector had a large dimple in it. A few hours in the heat and the dimple was gone with no damage to the car. They are easy to install and use plenty of alcoholwater mixture on the surface, film and fingers and you'll do fine. Also use a hairdryer to help keep the film malleable. I have installed them on a Range Rover, Ferrari, BMW, VW's, Porsche, Viper, PT Cruiser, Prowler, and Suburban. They beat having to buff out the yellow lights every month and it's cost effective. AutoSport has the best prices for them as well.
I've used these on my past three cars, and love them. However, I've never had any luck getting them on without some wrinkles and bubbles. I've tried starting in the middle and starting at one end, but neither worked better. The worst was with my new Subaru Outback. There are two pieces and I couldn't get either one installed properly. My headlights actually look worse with them on. I am going to get a heat gun and try again, after removing my first attempt (hopefully they come off easily). This may be a case of throwing good money after bad, but I'm optimistic that I can eventually get them on properly.

This product is fantastic! Takes a little practice to install but, it can be done by the DIY. Once installed your headlights are protected and the product is invisible. Simply a great product. CS and delivery was as promised. I highly recommend to all.
Having worked with Xpel products previously, this kit was a breeze to install. Follow instructions and really wet down the adhesive surface of the product and the surface to be protected.A great product for the protection of the headlight lenses and much less expensive than replacing the lenses!
I have used this product since 2004, and love the way the headlights still have that fresh, new look! An excellent product that has survived cold winters and hot summers with zero failures. I agree with some of the install difficulties, my process is to lay them on the dashboard under the windshield in afternoon sun. With the vehicle facing south, I start at one edge with a very small amount of the recommended alcohol solution and carefully work all the air out as I travel across the surface of the headlight. A few hours baking in the sun to clear the hazy look, and they are ready! Well worth the time and effort.

Bought these for my Smart Car back on '09 because I was concerned the headlights might get damaged from road debris. Not only did they fit great, they are undetectable and seem to do a great job of protecting the headlight. After three years they still look new and so do the headlights. I have just purchased another set for my wife's Toyota.
