If you’ve got a project car, seasonal car or other car that doesn’t get driven frequently, you might consider an indoor car cover. Why? Because dust and humidity can take their toll even on a garaged car, and if your garage is also home to things like tools, bicycles, or lawn mowers, there’s the chance of having your finish damaged by sheer accident. In a humid climate, mold and mildew can even become a problem for a car that’s being stored in a garage. Long-term automobile storage means taking steps to preserve a car not only mechanically, but cosmetically as well.
A good indoor car cover should offer a secure, snug fit, and a fabric that will stretch to hug your car’s contours without harming the finish. It should also be made from a material that is thick and sturdy enough to protect your car, but can still “breathe” enough to not allow moisture to be trapped between the car cover and the car’s body.
In other words…a blue vinyl tarp or a few furniture pads draped over that stored car isn’t the way to go. But feel free to
come on in and look around – we’re betting you’ll probably find an indoor car cover that’s a good fit for your car and your budget both!
