The low-beam (and high-beam) bulbs in my 2010 Altima were OEM and seemed much dimmer than I recall the headlight bulbs in my previous cars. Thus my search for better bulbs. I've used Sylvania SilverStar Ultra's previously (in a Mazda and a Mercedes) and was pleased with their life-span and brightness, until I read the reviews elsewhere on the Hella H9 and H11 bulbs. So I thought I'd give the Hella's a try. The Hella bulbs cast a beam that seems whiter and brighter than I recollect with the SilverStars. They're certainly brighter than the OEM bulbs. It's much easier to see road signs that sit off on the right shoulder at a greater distance than I recall. Just the low-beams by themselves go out quite a distance. When both the low and high beams are on, the road and both shoulders are very well lit. I installed the H9 and H11 Hella's about 5 months ago, so I can't comment on their longevity, but I can say I'm very pleased with the result. When one of them burns out, I'll definitely replace it with another Hella.
