In order for me to get a leather-wrapped steering wheel in my Dodge Charger, I would have had to buy the $800 nav package. The wheelskins cover was a much cheaper alternative. A few tips.... the suggested 1 hour installation time took me at least 2 hours to get it done right. It was especially tricky around the wheel spokes. The directions tell you to just skip the same number of holes on the front of the spoke as you did on the back. The problem is that its impossible to count the holes on the back of a black cover on the back of a black steering wheel. So trial and error ruled the day. Also, I found tightening the thread as you go along with a pair of needle nose pliers extremely helpful as it MUST be pulled as TIGHT as possible. The thread is plenty strong and didn't break. But now that its done, it really looks and feels terrific. It actually looks factory installed. This cover is a huge improvement over my cheap plastic steering wheel

We ordered this leather cover and are very happy with the fit and color, it takes about an hour to install and feels GREAT it fun to dirve my truck again.

First ordered a gray for 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Didn't match, so called AutoSport & they said no problem. Sent me swatches to try & match. None did, so we decided to use black. Looks fantastic & AutoSport was exceptional wcustomer service. Thanks!

Great cover,just follow Direction and take your time. Came out nice , feels good, looks good.....Best cover ever had,am 63 years old. Took me a hour and fifteen, with two interruptions!

The steering wheel cover is not the easist thing to put on but if you take your time and follow the directions it will take an hour or so and it really looks good once it is on. Well worth the cost. I am putting these on all our vehicles.

I am very disappointed with what I ended up and should have sent it back ... I thought I was getting a steering wheel cover like the add says! NOT A STEERING WHEEL COVER KIT!

My steering wheel cover looks great! The leather is top quality. It looks like a professional job and I am certainly not a professional. Just be patient when wrapping. Shipping was exact and price is very reasonable for the quality. Good Job!

It didn't noticably increse the size of the grip. It's very nice. It took less than an hour to install. I had to stitch it on. The needle and thread came with.

(And I don't mean to the touch.) I received my custom red steering wheel cover yesterday, spent an hour and a half sewing it on, and the next hour and a half driving around enjoying the heck out of it! The fit is very tight, which made for a somewhat challenging installation, but a beautiful appearance. One note: the lacing cord is the exact same color as the leather, not black, as seems to be pictured above. I have no reservations giving this product 5 five stars. Order it and drive in stylish luxury.

This quality item looks and feels good. The only drawback is that you'll have to do the stitching yourself with the supplied needle and thread (or, more appropriately, cord). The needle is thick and strong, and the waxed cord looks cheap, but it appears to be adequate however, I decided to use my own mil-spec size 8 nylon cord (obtainable from thread companies or parachute companies online) with a breaking strength of 83 lbs. It appears to be the same diameter as the supplied cord, and did indeed fit well. If you decide to use your own cord, be sure to wax it to prevent tangles while stitching. It took me two hours to install this on my 2002 Toyota Camry if you're not a do-it-yourselfer, you may find this to be too much of a chore. The main problem which slowed me down was just handling the long length of cord while stitching. About halfway around the steering wheel, I began to have problems with tangles (despite the wax treatment without the wax, it would've been a nightmare), but they were manageable. The steering wheel spokes were problematic, but the simple illustrated instructions provided were very helpful. The end result was well worth the effort it looks great, and the rich leather feels wonderful compared to the bare plastic stock wheel. I believe that my driving endurance will increase significantly with this cover, because my hands will be less fatigued during long drives.

I have installed several steering wheel covers over the years and found that Wheelskins are a perfect fit with a clean and comfortable feel. They look great also. Recently installed on my RAV4.
